Cry of the Hunger Stones Premier – The Northern Lights Choir
The Northern Lights choir presents its spring concert this weekend with a focus on world music, spirituals, patriotic tunes and the environment. Their spring concert is Friday night at 7:30 at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake.
Music Director Helen DeMong founded the 70-voice choir in 2013. It draws singers from Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, Keene Valley, Tupper Lake, Maloe and Wilmington, as well as students from Paul Smith’s College and North Country Community College.
This new musical work will be premiered by the Northern Lights Choir, under the direction of Helen Demong, May 10th at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake.
