Local composer Glenn McClure will explore the themes and history shaping his new folk music opera, based on Clara Barton’s time in Livingston County recovering from PTSD and her role in founding the American Red Cross. Come join the creative conversation and help shape the telling of Clara Barton’s story.

About the Project

This community discussion is part of an ongoing series leading up to a full performance of Pulling the Thread in fall 2025. Each event is an opportunity to engage directly with Glenn and influence the work as it develops.
