glenninantarcticaGlenn McClure is a composer and Arts Integration Consultant. He currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Eastman School of Music and at SUNY Geneseo. His compositions have enjoyed a wide audience in the US and abroad.

Brenda Tremblay from WXXI News in Rochester, NY discusses Glenn’s trip to Antarctica in October 2016.

 

 

He will use a mathematical conversion process to bring the infragravity sound wave data into the hearing range, generating material for music that he hopes to fill concert halls with the messages buried deep in the ice.

  • Madrigalia: Earthkeeping Concert: program includes premiere of McClure's Antarctic-inspired choral work entitled, "Cry"

    Earthkeeping addresses environmental issues by attending to environmental concerns in a spirit of love and concern for the object of our care: our planet, our home, the Earth.

    Madrigalia addresses one of the most pressing issues of our day with works that not only sing of the preciousness and amazing range of our earth, but also its fragility and precarious future. 

    The program includes the premiere of Glenn McClure's  Antarctica-inspired choral work entitled "Cry". 

    This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts at the Livingston Arts Center, a member supported organization.

    Tickets: $18 General Admission, $5 Student
